Hydrolyze Eye Gel
Any insomniac could tell you about this eye gel and all of the great, wonderful and magnificent things that it can do! Did you know that this eye gel diminishes under eye bags, dark circles and gets rid of wrinkles ? That works in as little as 8 weeks? That is has a free trial? That it comes with a free sample of something else when you purchase it within the next 15 minutes? But wait there’s more… Okay yes, this is an eye cream that is commonly seen on late night and mid day infomercials.
If you have ever seen this infomercial, you have seen countless amounts of people saying how this eye gel all but saved their lives. It is hard to know if you are getting a great product, an okay product or nothing but wasted credit card transactions when it comes to purchasing any type of beauty product on TV. They talk the claims up to the extreme, never mentioning any of the negatives. They shows graphs, scientific cartoons of how the skin works, amazing (and usually enhanced) before and after photos and have people (who are often actors/actresses) exclaim bold and exaggerated claims.
So is Hydrolyze Eye Gel a good one? I’m not so convinced.
How does the Hydrolyze Eye Gel work?
Hydrolyze Eye Gel claims that is works in 3 ways:
• Reduce eye puffiness
• Reduce dark circles
• Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
They say that their take on eye care will reverse all of these eye aging problems. It works by using “advanced ingredients” to penetrate the skins surface and build up the capillaries found around the eye. They go on to explain that the reason for the dark circles and the puffiness is due to leaky capillaries and that the ingredients they use (complex of yeast and botanical extracts) will strengthen and repair these leaky capillaries and totally reverse the problem.
I can honestly say that all throughout school and working in the skin care field that I have never heard of leaky capillaries and them being the culprit of eye problems. It seems like if this were the true reason behind the dark circles/puffiness problem that more eye creams would be focusing on this. Maybe it is, I am just surprised that I haven’t heard of this before.
Pros
• Moisturizing
• Said to work quickly
• Free trial
Cons
• Many unanswered questions when it comes to ingredients and claims
• Locked into an auto ship program when purchased
Price Hydrolyze Eye Gel
Read slowly, this is tricky.
When first “purchased” Hydrolyze Eye Gel is “free” and they send you 2 jars. If you don’t send it back within the allotted amount of time then they will charge your credit card two payments of $69. You are then locked into an auto ship program that will charge you $69 a month until you cancel.
Verdict: Hydrolyze Eye Gel
I am not really a fan of most skin care product that are sold via infomercials. Although some are really good and live up to their claims (think Proactive) there are many more that are unable to live up to the claims and fall flat. What bothers me about them selling these product on the tv to a late night audience is how much they can and usually exaggerate the claims and how they lock you into monthly payments that can be hard to get out of.
If this is a product you are really excited to try, then go ahead, but overall I would suggest that you find a product that isn’t so hyped up and doesn’t trap you in a monthly auto ship program before you know that you love it and want to use it for an extended period of time.
